Q: How long in advance do I need to schedule an appointment for a photo session?
A: At least one month for weddings and boudoir, two weeks for everything else. I can take last-minute clients but cannot guarantee availability on short notice.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes. The deposit will be used towards your final cost and will need to be provided during the consultation. The deposit for weddings and boudoir is half of the total cost and all other shoots are $100. The rest of the cost must be provided for the day of the shoot, no exceptions!
Q: How long will it take to get my prints and CD/flash drive?
A: For weddings and boudoir, about 3-4 weeks. All other sessions about 1 week for CD and 1-2 weeks for prints and other products. I strive to provide my photos as soon as possible to the clients. Wedding clients receive 30 "highlight" photos the day after the ceremony to view and all other photoshoots clients are allowed to view edited photos 1 hour after the session and pick out their choices that day.
Q: What if I don't want prints? Is there an option to only have all images on a CD?
A: No, except for product, advertising or event photography. I believe that high-quality prints are very important to give to my clients. Every package includes some high-resolution digital images which customers share the copyrights and I do offer an option to get all images from a session on a CD for an additional $100.
Q: What if I want to switch out a few prints for a different size than is offered in the package? Can I do that?
A: Yes, as long as they are the same value, otherwise you will just have to pay the difference. (Example: If you want a 16x20 instead of an 11x14 print, it will just be an additional $40.)
Q: Why do you not have boudoir photography examples online?
A: Boudoir photography is not meant to be seen by everyone. I believe it is disrespectful to publicly show the images online of my customers when they are meant to be private. It is also why I print all boudoir photos with my own private printer instead of a major printing house and only offer "modest" (glamour-style) images on CD's to avoid the risk of the private images being hacked on a client's computer. Examples of my work can be shown during a consultation.
Q: Can I hire a hair stylist for my boudoir or senior photos?
A: Yes. I can provide one for you if you like and the cost will be separate to the package and need to be paid to the stylist the day of the shoot.
Q: Do you shoot family photos? I don't see the prices for this service on the website.
A: Yes. Since family size and photo product needs can vary greatly for this service I do not have a set price for it. The price will be determined at a consultation after better knowing your family size and photography needs.
Q: Is there anything special I need to provide for shoots?
A: Clients are allowed to bring any props they want for free to photoshoots, but please be aware that larger items may not fit in the photographs. Seniors are also allowed to have one pet for free in their photos. Please bring a "helper" to assist with a pet in photo sessions as well as treats and their favorite toy to get their attention.
Q: Can family members be included in pet sessions?
A: Family members are allowed one pose with pets and the rest must be the pet(s) only. Otherwise, the photoshoot will be charged and treated like a family photo shoot.
Q: Do you charge travel fees?
A: Any photoshoot/wedding outside the Denver Metro area will be charged with travel fees. Basic list of fees are as follows:
Golden/Boulder/Brighton/Parker/Longmont, CO: $10
Idaho Springs/Genesee/Nederland/Fort Collins/Loveland, CO: $25

Q: Do you do any marketing photo shoots or basic graphic design work?
A: Yes! I love doing product and marketing photography and can also make basic brochures, advertisements, posters, etc. Price will vary, just let me know what you would like done! Examples of this work can be provided upon request.
